On the Drawing Board - Lion in charcoal

I have been watching on YouTube an amazing artist called Daniel Wilson, he creates the most stunning charcoal artwork. His work inspired me to have a go, so I searched through my art supplies, unearthed a few charcoal pencils and two sticks of charcoal - obviously bought on a whim at some point but never used! The below is the finished piece. For a first attempt, I am pretty pleased with it. Loads to learn and improve but I really enjoyed the process of using charcoal. 

I have now ordered myself some proper charcoal supplies, the ones which Daniel recommends using, and am eagerly waiting there delivery to try them out.
