Welcome to Pencil Paws Art
Animals have always been an important part of my life and I relish the challenge of trying to capture their unique personalities and characteristics on canvas.
I enjoy exploring various mediums however the seemingly simple pencil is one of my favourites, even though each piece takes many hours of work; I like the way I can control the image, layering to add fine detail and depth whilst adding tone and texture. Pastels were my first love and now again I will get the urge for some colour and create a pastel piece. A new area I am exploring is tinted charcoal pencils and coloured pencils with ink, am loving the detail and depth of colours these combinations can create.
Art for me is a continual journey of learning, improving and developing. I am very rarely satisfied with any piece I create, which pushes me on to improve and start the next one.
